Brian has a habit of building billion dollar companies overnight. He joined IPG to build the first advertising holding company-owned media barter unit ORION Trading sixteen years ago. That has led to the subsequent launch of two additional companies - ORION Capital and ORION Printing, which also sit within ORION Holdings. In 2012, he also oversaw the incubation and launch of BPN, IPG’s third media network. These four companies alone impact billions of dollars in client money. Brian brings a unique investment management perspective and laser-like focus to Madison Avenue, which has enabled him and the companies he oversees to find alternative ways for today’s advertiser to effectively market their products while conserving and effectively investing their marketing capital.
Recently, Brian was given oversight of four more companies from within the IPG Mediabrands family. They are: NSA Media (the largest single buyer of newspaper, marriage mail and print media in North America), OAG and Rapport UK – (leaders in the global Out of Home business) and Wahlstrom (a storied 25 year old leader in directory listings). The seven unique brands within ORION Holdings support and/or complement the offerings of traditional media agencies across IPG Mediabrands and Interpublic (NYSE:IPG).
Voted a Media Maven by Advertising Age, Brian has also been celebrated for his passion for diversity within all ORION companies. He has been honored with IPG’s “Inclusive Climate” Award for multiple years. The award recognizes that ORION has consistently achieved the highest average score for diversity and inclusive climate of all Interpublic agencies. He also celebrates a passion for languages with 23 languages being spoken at ORION Holding’s NY headquarters alone. Brian speaks four of them himself.
Married 27 years to his college sweetheart, Brian lives in Connecticut and, with his wife, focuses on the exploits of their three sons.
